Bra Fitting
Over 80% of the female population is wearing the wrong sized bra. Not only will an ill-fitting bra not look good or feel good, it will not give you the support you need. You get 90% of your support from the band and only 10% from the straps, so if you are making your bras fit by tightening your straps and having them dig into your shoulders…STOP NOW. A bra that rides up in the back is too big, not too small. Also, the band should lay flat and comfortably on the breastbone –with the “two finger rule” – you should not be able to fit more than two fingers in that space. Bras have multiple hooks for a reason- there is not one right hook for everybody. Please refer to our bra fitting guide to ensure a proper fit. Remember, every company runs a little different. Bras will last longer if they are hand washed in a mild detergent and hung to dry. If you must put your bra in a washing machine, make sure it is in a lingerie bag. As a general rule, agitation and heat are bad for the bra. Heat breaks down the Lycra and elasticity in the band of the bra and you will start to lose support. Never, ever put a bra or lingerie in the dryer.
